About Kjersti Jørgensen

Trainer profile

I love finding what motivates and helps each team succeed. Agility has been my passion for many years. My journey combines a love for dogs, a teaching background, and helping handlers and dogs grow together. For me agility isn't about perfection — it's about progress. Step by step we become better, stronger and more confident. I've competed at the highest levels for Norway with Agi, my Shetland Sheepdog — FCI World Champion Small in 2023 — and Mexi, the first Chodský Pes at the World Championships, 12th in intermediate in 2023. I've trained many breeds, from small to large; every dog brings its own challenges. Recent seasons brought WAO, EO, Nordic and AWC medals with Agi. As an instructor I want others to celebrate progress and find joy in every step. Together we can unlock the potential of every team.

Highlights

  • WAO 2023 & 2024: Biathlon Champion 250; Games Vice-Champion 250 (2024)

Q&A with Kjersti Jørgensen

What do you focus on most when teaching?

I focus on practical progressions handlers can apply immediately in their own setup.

What mistakes do handlers make most often?

Inconsistent criteria and late handling decisions usually create the biggest training blocks.

What do you want people to feel after training?

Clear on what improved, what still needs work, and what to train next.
